Current Airport Projects

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The work to be done consists of rehabilitating Taxiway Z pavement and replacing Taxiway Z electrical circuits and edge lights. The CONTRACTOR shall provide prices for two (2) Bid Schedules. Bid Schedule "A" includes the entire scope of work utilizing CALTRANS Asphalt Concrete . Bid Schedule B includes the entire scope of work utilizing P-401 Asphalt Concrete.

OPTIONAL PRE-BID WALK-THROUGH:A pre-bid conference and walk-through is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. March 16, 2010. The conference will be held in the Airport Office, 2290 Airport Boulevard, Santa Rosa. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Representatives of the County and Mead & Hunt will be present to discuss the project, receive questions, and conduct a tour of the Airport Project site. At all other times, Contractor access onto the Airport must be coordinated and supervised by the County; County staff is only available on a limited basis. Contact the Airport Manager's office at (707) 565-7243 to schedule airfield visits.

Sealed bids will be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Room 100A, 575 Administration Drive, Santa Rosa, California, 95403, until 3:00 p.m., as determined by the clock on the wall of the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, on April 7, 2010 at which time they will be transferred to the Board Caucus Room where they will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Sonoma County Director of Transportation and Public Works or his designee. Said bids will be referred to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors for consideration after evaluation by the Department of Transportation and Public Works staff.

Copies of contract documents may be obtained upon application to the Office of the Airport Manager, 2290 Airport Boulevard Santa Rosa, California 95403 and upon payment of a non refundable fee of $75.00. Only checks payable to County of Sonoma will be accepted. No cash is accepted.
