NOTICE TO PLANHOLDERS
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF

 TERMINAL BUILDING ROOF REPAIR

COUNTY PROJECT NO. W09571

ADDENDUM NO. 1 

I.                    Clarifications to various bid specifications and requirements from questions received from contractors:

  • Special Provisions, Section 4 – Beginning of Work, Time of Completion and Liquidated Damages Paragraph A. Time for Completion, should read as follows:
    • All contract work shall be completed within 15 working days from mobilization to work site.  Time will commence on the first day that the Contractor mobilizes to the work site.  A stop work notice will be issued for the 5-day cure period and this time will not be included in the completion time.  All work must be completed no later than October 31, 2005.

  • Special Provisions, Section 10 – Construction Details
    Paragraph 10-1.07 Repairs - General, The following paragraph should be added:
    • Contractor shall include in the lump sum price as work to be included:  Disconnecting and removing the three (3) swamp coolers installed on the roof.  All materials and debris associated with the removal of the swamp coolers shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.  Contractor shall remove the curb and make flush with the roof and install 5/8" plywood over the opening and apply roofing materials as required in this contract.  Or Contactor may at its option, if a four- sided curb mounting is in good shape, install a 20 ga. galvanized sheet metal covering with 5/8" plywood backing over the opening and incorporate the repair and covering in such a manner as to prevent water penetration.   

Please fill out "Addendum Acknowledgment" form of the BIDDER'S BOOK on page BB4, verifying your receipt of this Addendum.
