  • Division IV, Section 1 – Miscellaneous  Provisions for Airport Construction – Part 1-1.4  Hangar Site Coordination and Division of  Contract Work is a carry over from a previous  bid document and does not apply to this bid  request.
  • Division VI – Entire Division -  The phrase  Airport Departure Terminal was language used  by the County Architect’s office prior to the use  of Airport Security Screening Building used for  the bid, therefore, all requirements addressed  as such apply to this bid request.
  • Division VI, Section 1 – General Building Requirements, the following clarifications  should be noted:
    • Part 1 – the overall building width is listed as 36 feet.  Due variations in building section widths this width maybe as low as 35 feet and not more than 37 feet.

    • The carpet tiles are to be installed in the hold room, vending area and security screening area.  The linoleum is to be placed in the restrooms and utility room.  The vinyl composition tile is to be placed in the hallway leading to the restrooms.
    • The ramps to/from the building may be 4 (four) feet wide instead of the 5 (five) feet as shown on the plans, however, the top of the ramp shall be 5 (five) feet by 5 (five) feet. If the bidder proposed to install a 4 (four) foot wide ramp, the bidder shall make a notation on the Substitution Request Form – Proposed Substitution lines.
    • The 2 (two) windows in the security area may be combined into a single window with a width not less than 6 (six) feet and aligned in such a manner to avoid building section seams.  If the bidder proposes to combine these windows, the bidder shall make a notation on the Substitution Request Form – Proposed Substitution lines.
