NOTICE TO PLANHOLDERS
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF

ADDENDUM NO. 1

The following modifications are to be made part of the Plans, Contract Documents, and Specifications for the subject project.  All bidders must acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the Bid Form.

SPECIFICATIONS

·         Change 1 - Division IV, Section 3, Portland Cement Concrete, Paragraph 3-2.3 Concrete.  The second sentence shall be changed to read, “Concrete shall be Class B, 1-1/2-inch maximum aggregate size, containing not less than 470 pounds of cement per cubic yard of concrete, with a slump of 4 inches maximum and develop a minimum of compressive strength of 3,500 psi at 28 days for the slab on grade and 2,500 psi at 28 days for the foundations.

DRAWINGS 

·         Change 2 - Sheet 6, Grading Plan.  The attached sections C/6 and D/6 are to be affixed to the plan sheet. Section C/6 depicts a section cut at the approximate center of Hangar No. 1 through the building separation with the existing hangar to the north.  Section D/6 depicts a section cut 38 feet west of the eastern end of the building similar to C/6.

·         Change 3 - Sheet 7, Foundation Plan.  Add the following note to Hangar No. 1 and Hangar No. 2 plans:  “5-INCH CONCRETE SLAB, WITH #3 BARS @ 18” O.C. @ C.L. OF SLAB, OVER 2” SAND, OVER VAPOR BARRIER, OVER MIN. 4” SLAB ROCK.”

·         Change 4 - Sheet 8, Foundation Details 1.  Replace the “SOUTH WALL” portion of Detail B/8 with the attached detail, which clarifies concrete reinforcement of the concrete infill apron.

·         Change 5 - Sheet 8, Foundation Details 1.  Replace the “SOUTH WALL” portion of Detail E/8 with the attached detail, which clarifies concrete reinforcement of the perimeter wall footings.

·         Change 6 - Sheet 10, Foundation Plan.  Replace the “Schedule of Quantities” table with the revised, attached “Schedule of Quantities” table.

·         Change 7 - Sheet 10, Foundation Plan.  Delete the call-out “Wall Grit Spacing as required for 1-hour firewall per mfg. all other locations” on Detail A/10.

·         Change 8 - Sheet 10, Foundation Plan. Ridge ventilators in Hangar No. 2 shall be undampered.·           

Please fill out "Noted Addendum" (Division I, Section 00300, page 1) verifying your receipt of this Addendum No. 1.
