NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
HANGAR
SITEWORK PREPARATION

CHARLES M. SCHULZ --
SONOMA COUNTY AIRPORT
COUNTY PROJECT NO. W09535
Sealed bids will
be received at the office of the Purchasing Agent, Suite
A208, 2300 County Center Drive, Santa
Rosa, California 95403 on November 27, 2001, until the
hour of 2:00 p.m.
General Work
Description: Construction of lime-treated subgrade
for an approximate 52' x 315' hangar building and a 46'
x 375' hangar apron at the Charles M. Schulz--Sonoma
County Airport.
The contractor shall possess a California Class A
license at the time of contract award.
Bids are required
for the entire work described herein. This contract is
subject to state contract nondiscrimination and
compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code
§12990.
Plans,
specifications, and proposal forms for bidding this
project can only be obtained at the Sonoma County
Department of Transportation and Public Works, 575
Administration Drive, Room 117A, Santa Rosa, California
95403, at no charge.

The successful
bidder shall furnish both a payment bond and a
performance bond for the full amount of the contract.
The County of
Sonoma hereby notifies all bidders that it will
affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into
pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business
enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit
bids in response to this invitation and will not be
discriminated against on the grounds of race, color,
sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
Pursuant to
Section 1770 and following of the Labor Code, the
general prevailing rate of wages has been determined by
the Director of the California Department of Industrial
Relations. Bidders should contact the Department of
Industrial Relations at (415) 703-4774 for General
Prevailing Wage Rates on specific job classifications.
Future effective wage rates which have been
predetermined are on file with the California Department
of Industrial Relations and are referenced but not
printed in the General Prevailing Wage Rates. Bidders
are advised that if they intend to use a craft or
classification not on file on the general wage
determinations, they may be required to pay the wage
rate of that craft or classification most closely
related to it as shown in the general determinations.
The Purchasing Agent of Sonoma County reserves
the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any
defect or irregularity in bidding.
