CANON MANOR WEST ASSESSMENT DISTRICT IMPROVEMENTS

ADDENDUM NO. 7

I.    Changes to Plans and Special Provisions 

      Changes to Plans and Special Provisions as per attached sheets.

Please fill out the Addendum Acknowledgment sheet (page BB-9 of the Bidder's Book, Volume 1 of 3) verifying your receipt of this Addendum (Addendum No. 7).

Attached Pages:

A. Book 1 of 3, page NC-1, the introductory Paragraph under "NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS" is amended to read:

"Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Room 100A, 575 Administration Drive, Santa Rosa, California 95403 on April 11, 2006, until the hour of 3:00 p.m. (according to the wall clock in the reception area of the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors). They then will be transferred to a predetermined meeting room designated by the Sonoma County Director of the Department of Transportation and Public Works or his designee. Said bids will be referred to the Sonoma County Director of Transportation and Public Works for award on or before May 2, 2006."

B. Book 1 of 3, page SP-69 and SP-70, 10-2.20 "Contaminated Material Disposal", and Section C of Addendum 4 is deleted and replaced with the following:

"10-2.20 CONTAMINATED MATERIAL DISPOSAL: Attention is directed to the Materials Information that summarizes the extent, degree and type of contamination in the areas to be excavated. This Material Information is available for review in Book 3 of these specials.

All excavated material in areas between Engineer’s Station 23+00 to 27+50 on Camino Colegio and Engineer’s Station 9+00 to 15+50 on Bodway Parkway, shown on the plans, is considered contaminated and shall be transported to Class II Sanitary Landfill that will accept such material.

MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT: Quantities of Contaminated Material Disposal shall be measured by the ton for each type of disposal in accordance with paragraph 17 in Section 9-1.01, "Measurement of Quantities," of the Standard Specifications.

Full compensation for loading, and hauling of contaminated material including any disposal fees shall be considered as included in the contract prices paid per ton for Contaminated Material Disposal and no additional compensation will be allowed therefore."

C. Book 1 of 3, page SP-84 and SP-85, 10-3.20 "Contaminated Material Disposal", and Section D of Addendum 4 is deleted and replaced with the following:

"10-3.20 CONTAMINATED MATERIAL DISPOSAL: Attention is directed to the Materials Information that summarizes the extent, degree and type of contamination in the areas to be excavated. This Material Information is available for review in Book 3 of these specials.

All excavated material in Engineer’s Station 196+00 to 214+50 on East Cotati Avenue and Engineer’s Station 46+50 to 49+50 on Sturtevant Drive, shown on the plans, is considered contaminated and shall be transported to Class II Sanitary Landfill that will accept such material.
