NOTICE TO PLANHOLDERS
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF

KORBEL SUMMER CROSSING (20C-358)

I. Changes to Special Provisions:

A. Page SP-1, the second paragraph under "Notice to Contractors," is amended to read: 

"General Work Description: The work to be done consists, in general, of construction of a pile foundation for Korbel Summer Crossing over the Russian River consisting of five (5) pairs of 24-inch-diameter steel pipe piles as shown on the plans."

B. Page SP-1, the third paragraph under "Notice to Contractors," is amended to read:

"The Contractor shall possess a Class A license at the time of contract award."

C. Page SP-30, Section 9. "Description of Work," is amended to read:

"The work to be done consists, in general, of construction of a pile foundation for Korbel Summer Crossing over the Russian River consisting of five (5) pairs of 24" diameter steel pipe piles, and such other items or details, not mentioned above, that are required by the plans, Standard Specifications, or these Special Provisions shall be performed, placed, constructed or installed.

D. SP-49, Section 10-1.14 "Piling," the second paragraph is amended to read:

Driving of the 0.6 meter {24"} - diameter steel piles with 13 mm { ½" wall thickness} for the Summer Crossing is expected to be difficult, but achievable, utilizing heavy-duty driving equipment capable of driving into soils as described in the "Subsurface Investigation Odd Fellows Park Road at P.M. 10.57 to 10.61," by Taber, dated July 20, 2006.

II. Changes to the Engineer's Estimate: Item No. 3, "Flagging," the cost used by all bidders shall be $2,000.00. Please replace pages BB-3 and BB-14 with the attached revised pages Add1 Rev. BB-3, and Add1 Rev. BB-14 to reflect the changes.

III. Clarification: A plan sheet entitled "ADDENDUM NO. 1 CLARIFICATION - KORBEL SUMMER CROSSING" is added to demonstrate the accessibility to the pile locations.

Please fill out the Addendum Acknowledgment sheet (page BB-4 of the Bidder's Book) verifying your receipt of this Addendum (Addendum No. 1).
