ADDENDUM NO. 1

Note: Federal Requirements, Wage Decision

Please be advised that the Federal Prevailing Wage Rates were modified by "General Decision Number CA02003009, Modification Number 5," dated May 7, 2004.

Reference is made to the paragraph, "Pursuant to Section 1773 and following of the Labor Code, the general prevailing rate of wages…" on page SP-2 of the contract specifications.

I. Changes to the Contract Specifications:

A.  Add the following new Section 10-1.43, "Concrete Ditch" to the contract specifications:

10-1.43 CONCRETE DITCH: Concrete ditch shall conform to the provisions in Section 72-4, "Concrete Slope Protection, Gutter Lining, Ditch Lining, and Channel Lining," of the Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions.

II. Changes to the Plans:

A. Sheets 4-5 (Shoulder Configurations), Sheet 7 (Plan and Profile) & Sheet 11 (Details)

PG&E informed the County that the portion of the existing gas line on the eastern side of Stony Point Road shown on Sheet 7 has been deactivated and that a new gas line has been installed. The horizontal location of the new gas line near Orchard Lane is shown on the plan sheet entitled "Addendum No. 1, New Guardrail, Box Culvert and Shoulder Configurations."

The new improvements in the Orchard Lane vicinity are shown on the plan sheets entitled "Addendum No. 1, New Guardrail, Box Culvert and Shoulder Configurations" and "Addendum No. 1, New Concrete Lined Ditch, Details, and Box Culvert Details" which show the amended headwalls, wing-walls, guardrail, box culvert, roadside ditch improvements and shoulder configurations.

On Sheet 11, the plan view and wingwall details for the "Box culvert at Station 49+85.50 Rt" are hereby deleted. Detail A-A Section is retained, but the box culvert flowlines are changed as shown on the plan sheet entitled, "New Concrete Lined Ditch, Details, and Box Culvert Details."

New shoulder configurations shown for the new improvements in the Orchard Lane vicinity on "Addendum No. 1, New Guardrail, Box Culvert and Shoulder Configurations" supercede shoulder configurations for the Orchard Lane vicinity on plan Sheets 4 and 5.

B.  Sheet 18, Quantity Summaries

The revised quantity summaries for guardrail and structures are shown on the plan sheet entitled "Addendum No. 1, New Guardrail, Box Culvert and Shoulder Configurations."

New quantity summaries for "Markers" in Bid Alternates #3 and #4 are shown in the attachment entitled, "Addendum No. 1, Bid Alternate #3 and #4, Markers and Delineators."

Please note the following changes in the quantity summaries:

1. The project total quantity of guardrail changes to 1,450.

2. The quantity of metal beam guardrail in the "Base Bid" changes to 1,025.

3. The quantity of Terminal Section Type SRT in the "Base Bid" changes to 4.

4. The quantity of Terminal Section Type SFT in the "Base Bid" changes to 4.

5. The quantity of cubic yardage of concrete for the reinforced concrete box culvert at Orchard Lane changes to 17.5 CY.

6. The quantity of cubic yardage of concrete for the wing walls at Orchard Lane changes to 11.5 CY in the "Base Bid." The 5.7 CY listed on the plans erroneously in "Bid Alternate #1 Subtotal" is hereby deleted.

7. The project total quantity of "Minor Concrete (Headwalls and Wingwalls)" changes to 20.3.

A. Base Bid, Item No. 19, "Roadway Excavation," the quantity is changed to 6,450.

B. Base Bid, Item No. 23, "Ditch Excavation/Regrading," the quantity is changed to 165.

C. Base Bid, Item No. 33, "Aggregate (Type A, Asphalt Concrete, 3/4" Max. Grading), the quantity is changed to 4,645.

D. Base Bid, Item No. 34, "Paving Asphalt (Asphalt Concrete)," the quantity is changed to 255.

E. Base Bid, Item No. 36, "Minor Concrete-Box Culvert (3' H x 6' W)," the quantity is changed to 17.5.

F. Base Bid, Item No. 37, "Minor Structures- Headwalls 3' H x 6' W Box Culvert-Orchard Ln," the quantity is changed to 11.5.

G. Base Bid, New Item No. 43, "Minor Concrete (Ditch Lining)," the quantity is 2.5.

H. Base Bid, Item No. 50 (formerly Item No. 49), "Metal Beam Guard Railing," the quantity is changed to 1,025.

I. Base Bid, Item No. 51 (formerly Item No. 50), "Terminal Section, Type SRT," the quantity is changed to 4.

J. Base Bid, Item No. 52 (formerly Item No. 51), "Terminal Section, Type SFT," the quantity is changed to 4.

K. Bid Alternate #1, Item 7A, "Roadway Excavation," the quantity is 2,647.3.

L. Bid Alternate #1, New Item No. 16A, "Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan," the quantity is 1.

M. Bid Alternate #2, Item 6B, "Roadway Excavation," the quantity is 1,400.7.

N. Bid Alternate #3, New Item No. 9C, "Delineators," the quantity is 4.

O. Bid Alternate #4, New Item No. 10D, "Delineators," the quantity is 12.

The addition of new items in the Engineer's Estimates has caused some of the items to renumber. Please refer to the revised estimates.

Please replace pages SP-3 through SP-7; BB-3 through BB-8; and BB-29 through BB-34 with the attached revised pages to reflect the changes:
