Offer Brown Bag Presentations:
Offer on-site health education sessions about healthy eating, healthy food choices, and nutrition education.
Host a Office Heath Fair:
Invite local organizations (local hospitals, acupuncturists, chiropractors, fitness centers, massage centers) to share materials on topics related to health, fitness, and nutrition. Offer free blood pressure screening, fitness screenings, and/or flu shots. |
| Educate employees of basic exercise recommendations from the American Heart Association. |
Employees will be informed through newsletters, emails and/or posters about the basic exercise recommendations for healthy adults from reputable sources. |
Offer Exercise Guidelines:
The College of Sports Medicine offers exercise guidelines, tips for meeting the guidelines, and how to start an exercise program. |
| Distribute chronic disease prevention material such as heart health and diabetes prevention/ management. |
Health education materials from reputable sources, such as the CDC, will be distributed once a month via newsletters, emails, or flyers to increase awareness of chronic disease prevention. |
