Course Description
This is an advanced course for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, MRC volunteers, and other related clinical professionals who will be exploring emerging infectious diseases and how they could be used as a weapon of mass destruction and harm.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Identify persons potentially exposed to an emerging disease in need of public health and/or medical intervention
- List 3 emerging infectious disease agents
- Identify the indicators, signs and symptoms for exposure to 3 critical biological terrorist agents (Categories A, B and C)
