Course Description
Participants will learn about the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS), which ensures the availability and rapid deployment of life-saving pharmaceuticals, antidotes, other medical supplies and equipment necessary to counter the effects of nerve and other chemical agents, and biological pathogens. They will also learn about "Push Packs," and staging and dispensing SNS assets.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Discuss critical planning functions at the Federal, State, and local levels that affect receipt, staging and dispensing of SNS assets
- List 4 of the characteristics of "Push Packs" and follow-on vendor managed inventory
- Explain the mechanisms for when and how the SNS is deployed in Sonoma County
