The objective of the industrial and educational components is to teach prevocational skills and healthy work attitudes/habits toward developing the survival skills necessary to obtain employment and become responsible, productive citizens. The Camp has twenty-five years of experience manufacturing wood and metal products, and has been manufacturing products in recycled materials for about five years. The Camp has completed projects for industry and a wide variety of government agencies.

Income generated through industrial wood, metal, and recycled product fabrication and construction/maintenance projects provides tools, machinery, equipment and materials for the industrial and construction education components of the program. In addition, all recreational equipment and outings, all Wilderness Experience equipment and trips, the greenhouse/garden, special consultants, graduate release funds and any special clothing and foods needed are funded through this income.
