Investigations

Subsequent to a conviction in Superior Court, an individual may be referred by the Judge to the Probation Department for the preparation of a presentence report. Typical information contained in these reports includes circumstances of the offense, sentencing options, any victim impact, prior criminal history/probation performance, mental health and/or substance abuse related issues, employment history, family ties, level of personal responsibility for the offense, willingness to participate in treatment if necessary and desire to participate on probation if granted the opportunity.
