Inspection information is available here on building permits created after July 1995.

Office approval information is available here on building permits created after May 2004.

The file number indicates the type of permit. A complete list can be found on our filetype definitions page.

File date is the date the permit application was filed or, for old permits, the earliest date associated with the file.

The current status of this permit.

Inspection results are usually available on the afternoon of the business day following the inspection.

Available Inspections are those that have not yet been completed. This includes every inspection possibility for this type of permit. No single permit will require all of these inspections.

The description of the inspection type. Choosing one of these links will take you to an Inspection Detail Screen.

The date column shows the last date an inspection was performed for this inspection type. N/A means no inspection has been performed.

This links to any results associated with this type of inspection.

When an Inspection is approved, it is moved to the Completed Inspections list below the available inspections.

APPROVED

This inspection item has been approved and does not require further inspection.

comments/corrections

The work performed was deemed inadequate. Correction and further inspection is required.

partial approval

A portion of the work for this inspection item has been approved, but further inspections are required.

incomplete inspection

The work was not ready for inspection at the scheduled time. Further inspection is required and a re-inspection fee may be assessed.


Status Screen

This screen shows the current status of office approvals. Office approvals are reviews of the permit performed by various divisions within PRMD. Examples:

  • A permit for a new home must be reviewed and approved by Planning staff.
  • An addition to a home served by a septic system must be reviewed and approved by Well & Septic staff.

This screen shows every approval possibility for this type of permit. Some approvals may not apply to this specific permit.

Approval numbers 01-50 or 500-550 must be signed off before the permit can be issued.

Approval numbers 51-100 or 551-600 must be signed off before the final inspection can be approved.

ANNO: Annotation

An informational text notation. Annotations do not change the current status of an approval item.

AP: Approved

This approval item has been approved.

DENY: Denied

This approval item has been denied.

NR: Not Required

This approval is not required for this specific permit.

Not Approved

No entries have been made yet on this approval item.

REV: Revoked

A previous approval item entry has been revoked.
