Pay An Outstanding Balance on an Existing Permit

Many permit types will allow the applicant to pay outstanding balances using On-Line Permits. Permits must be beyond the plan check stage to be paid on-line.

You can check the status of your permit by going to the Accela Citzen Access website and clicking on the Check/Research Permits link.

Please be aware that even if fees are paid a copy of the approved plans, including revisions, must be at the work site.

To make a payment follow these steps

• Go to the Accela Citzen Access website and choose the "My Permit Manager" link.
• At this point the site will ask you to register. Click on the "Register Here" link and follow instructions.
• When you complete registering with Accela you will be transferred back to the home page. Click on the "Check/Research Permits" link.
• Select search by permit number on the next screen and enter the permit number. Click on the "Search" button.
• Information about the permit will be displayed, including the balance. Click on the on-line payment link and follow the instructions.

  Please note that the credit card convenience fee will be added to your fee total. This fee will be listed as the Agency Processing Fee on your receipt.  This is the same fee that is charged on credit card transactions at our office.

• Print out the receipt for your records.
