04/16/2008 The Planning Commission hearings on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) were held on February 7, 2008 and on March 6, 2008.  The Final EIR is currently under preparation; this news item will be updated when the Final EIR is ready for publication and will include a link to  the notice announcing the time, date and location of the next Planning Commission hearing on the Final EIR.

03/25/2008 A voluntary and free junk vehicle removal program Do you have an inoperable vehicle on your property that you've been trying to get rid of but can't because you lost the paperwork?  We can help!  Owners and occupants of property specifically located within the unincorporated areas of Sonoma County can now have unwanted junk vehicles towed away for free and without the usual DMV paperwork.

Residential Construction Manual
03/07/2008 The Residential Construction Manual has been updated and includes changes based on the recent adoption of the California Building Codes (effective January 1, 2008). Printed versions are now available for purchase at PRMD at a cost of $20.00 per copy. If you have any comments and/or suggestions about content like you would like to see included in future revisions, please contact Paul Marquez.
Housing Element Update 2009
10/15/2007 "The County is in the process of updating the Housing Element of the General Plan to address the housing needs for the next 5-year planning period, as required by State law.  Public input is encouraged. A third public workshop has been scheduled for April 10th at 5:00PM at the Community Development Commission conference room, 1440 Guerneville Road, Santa Rosa. Official Zoning Database
07/13/2007 The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors amended Chapters 26 and 26C of the Sonoma County Code to convert the County Zoning Maps to a new Digital Zoning Database. The Official Zoning Database became effective July 12, 2007.
