GP2020 Planning Commission Review Process

Planning Commission (PC) review and consideration of the Public Hearing Draft GP2020 and Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is the second major phase of this General Plan Update process. This follows the Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC) phase which ended on February 16, 2006. The final phase will occur after the PC completes its work and makes its recommendations to the County Board of Supervisors.

The PC will finalize its recommendations after the Final GP2020 EIR is prepared and considered by the PC.

 

The Commissioners that will consider GP2020 are;

  • First District: Richard Fogg, Chair
  • Second District: Don Bennett, Vice Chair
  • Third District: Nadin Sponamore
  • Fourth District: Dennis Murphy
  • Fifth District: Rue Furch

Issue Summaries and Staff Reports

The CAC phase was conducted as an issue-focused update. The CAC considered specific policy issues as directed by the Board of Supervisors. Therefore, all CAC staff reports, meeting minutes, issue summaries, etc., are organized by issue.

 

The Planning Commission will now consider the Public Draft GP2020 on an Element by Element basis. Elements (and their pertinent issues) are listed below in the order the Planning Commission will consider them.
