Process for Recording GP2020 CommentsTo facilitate the gathering of comments at each community meeting to identify issues, County planners are stationed at several issue tables (e.g., land use, agricultural resources, etc.) set up around the perimeter of the meeting room. Following introductory comments by planning staff on the purpose of the meeting and the overall General Plan Update process, a one-hour break-out session is held during which the public has the opportunity to interact with planning staff to discuss and clarify their specific concerns. Participants have several different ways at each community meeting to make sure their concerns are recorded:
Comments received on the green comment forms or written on the flipcharts are presented verbatim. Comments presented to individual planners have been summarized by the planners. Finally, comments received during the open microphone session of each community meeting have been summarized by planning staff. If you believe that your comments have not been recorded accurately, or if you have additional concerns that you would like to see addressed in GP 2020, please get this information to us by August 24, 2001. If you cannot meet this issues identification deadline, please note that there will be numerous additional opportunities for public comment on the General Plan Update. |

| Although every effort is made to provide complete and accurate information on this website, users are advised to contact appropriate PRMD staff before making project decisions. This may involve contacting more than one section within PRMD (e.g. Building, Plan Check, Zoning, Well & Septic, etc.), since each section implements specific codes or ordinances which may affect your project. | ||||
