Sonoma County PRMD GIS Supports Various Planning Initiatives and more...
For the past several months, PRMD GIS has been providing support for several comprehensive planning initiatives underway including the update of the County’s Comprehensive Airport Land Use Plan (CALUP) and Local Coastal Plan (LCP), revisions to the Vacation Rental Program as well as the Winery Working Group. Moreover, in an effort to answer data/geographical inquiries as needed and providing staff onsite support, GIS staff has been present at the LCP Public Workshops, Community Forums and Workshops on Vacation Rentals and Winery Working Group meetings. All efforts are paying off as great progress is being made per each initiative!
PRMD GIS continues to support ongoing efforts in providing insightful, statistical analysis needed for the consideration of the Roseland Area Annexation. Amongst the groups working with the GIS team is the PRMD Director ~ Tennis Wick, County’s Auditor Controller Treasurer Tax Collector and a myriad of City of Santa Rosa staff. We pride our efforts in continually being progressive and responsive in supporting the data needs of our county-city officials.
For the next several months, the GIS team will be focusing on integrating GIS resources into the upcoming release of Accela Citizen Access in April 2016. Accela Citizen Access will be replacing the current permitting system, uniquely addressing the diverse needs of agencies, citizens and businesses by enhancing workflows and making publically available information more accessible.
In addition to all efforts mentioned above, PRMD GIS is committed to the upgrade of ActiveMap, leveraging ArcGIS Online capabilities (e.g. Story Maps, focused data apps, etc.) and data download multi-options. Stay tuned for more information!
For those who have continued to support our efforts, we thank you.
And, for those new to PRMD GIS...

|Although every effort is made to provide complete and accurate information on this website, users are advised to contact appropriate PRMD staff before making project decisions. This may involve contacting more than one section within PRMD (e.g. Building, Plan Check, Zoning, Well & Septic, etc.), since each section implements specific codes or ordinances which may affect your project.|
