Surveyor & Drainage Permit Fees

Fee determinations are based on a number of variables.

Subdivision map check variables include;

How many lots are involved?
Will the lots be served by public sewer or septic system?
Is the map is a 'major' or 'minor' subdivision?
How many times is the map returned for corrections?

Improvement plan check variables include;

How many lots are involved?
How many times are the plans returned for corrections?

Improvement inspection fees are based upon:

A percentage of the cost of the improvements

Drainage considerations that must be addressed include;

Location of structures (roads, reservoirs, underground utilities... etc.)
Location and limits of grading
Location of existing drainage facilities (waterways, conduits, culverts or bridges)
Slope stability, erosion potential, and water quality related issues
Watershed hydrology and related issues
Flooding and other related drainage characteristics of the area
Existing wetlands, vernal pools, or riparian corridors
Proximity of leach field locations

Due to the complexity of these determinations, it is unwise to make assumptions until the full scope of a project is determined by PRMD Staff at the time an application is accepted.

Please do not fill in amounts on checks prior to application acceptance.

Although every effort is made to provide complete and accurate information on this website, users are advised to contact appropriate PRMD staff before making project decisions. This may involve contacting more than one section within PRMD (e.g. Building, Plan Check, Zoning, Well & Septic, etc.), since each section implements specific codes or ordinances which may affect your project.
