Founded in 1985, the Sonoma County Museum connects the region’s rich history with contemporary and artistic cultural currents by providing cultural experiences for the enrichment, enjoyment and education of Sonoma County residents and visitors through the preservation of collections and the presentation exhibitions and programs.
Known for its permanent collection of Sonoma County historic art and artifacts, as well as the definitive Christo & Jeanne-Claude Collection, the Museum offers innovative exhibitions and education programs for people of all ages and interests, engaging themes ranging from history to contemporary art.
