The Healdsburg Museum was founded in 1976 by a group
of local citizens to house the historical collections donated to
the City of Healdsburg. The museum houses an impressive range of
artifacts and documents related to northern Sonoma County history,
such as Pomo Indian basketry, nineteeth century weapons, tools,
textiles, crafts, and an extensive archival library that includes
some 8,000 original photographs. Free guided tours are available
for groups by appointment.
