Information for Volunteers

Sonoma County Parks relies on volunteers for trail maintenance, invasive plant removal and other park projects. Necessary tools, gloves and training, water and snacks are provided, and staff is always on site to supervise the project and to respond to any emergency situations. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes, long pants and a long sleeve shirt, hat and sunscreen. Volunteers are also encouraged to bring a water bottle. Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers between the ages of 14 – 17 must come with a signed parental permission slip (PDF: 55kB).

To sign up for any of the projects listed below please contact John Ryan, Volunteer Coordinator at (707) 565-3356 or parksvolunteer@sonoma-county.org. Pre registering is not required unless otherwise stated, but it greatly appreciated by park staff and aids in the planning process.
