Spring Lake Park Camp Host

Camp Host Site at Spring Lake Park

The Host site at Spring Lake Park is located at the campground entrance. The site has electricity, water and phone line but it lacks a sewer hook-up. A portable container is provided for hauling RV waste to the dump station which is about 100 yards from the site. The campground has 30 family-style campsites and is open daily in the spring/summer and on weekends, Friday – Sunday, and holidays in the fall/winter. Each campsite has a barbecue pit and picnic tables. A group campground is available.

Hosting duties at the Spring Lake Park campground are similar to those at the other County campgrounds. However, at Spring Lake Park you spend some of the time selling firewood and answering questions from an entry station booth. At the other parks you operate almost exclusively out of your RV.

Another interesting feature about Spring Lake Park is that it is part of an 8 mile green belt. This belt begins in Howarth City Park. Howarth then connects to Spring Lake Park, which connects to Annadel State Park. Altogether these three parks encompass more than 5,500 acres of open space.

Spring Lake Park is located in the City of Santa Rosa. With over 160,000 people, there are a variety of cultural, recreational and dining opportunities less than five minutes from the park. While the presence of such a large city at your doorstep might be of concern, the park feels like it’s removed from all that hustle and bustle. The park’s large boating lake and wilderness trails offer a perfect escape for many visitors.
