Doran Park is located just outside the Town of Bodega Bay off Highway 1. Visitors come to enjoy the sandy, two mile stretch of beach or fish off the public jetty. Although small, Bodega Bay has all the essentials including a grocery store, post office, laundromat, several restaurants and two kite stores. The park is also located across the harbor from Spud Point Marina. Fish and crab can be purchased off the docks when in season. There is plenty to explore on your days off if you head either north or south on scenic Highway 1.

Doran Park has two Host sites that come with full hook-ups. Hosts at these two sites should expect a high volume of patron contact during the spring, summer and fall months. Firewood sales will keep hosts busy year round. The only slow time is during the winter and even then the park fills up when the weather is nice or a special event is taking place nearby. Both host sites can handle large RVs and trailers, up to 40 feet at the Jetty Site and 37 feet at the Cove site. At each site there is room to park an additional vehicle.

Hosts can make temporary changes to the site, with the approval of the Supervising Ranger. For more information contact John Ryan, Volunteer Coordinator, at (707) 565-3356 or parksvolunteer@sonoma-county.org
