BEGINNER’S BIRD WALK AT FOOTHILL PARK |
Sonoma County Regional Parks and The Center for Social and Environmental Stewardship presents a fun and informative bird walk on Sunday, May 26th at Foothill Regional Park led by Dr. Joseph Zinkl.
Dr. Zinkl is Professor Emeritus of University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. With over 35 years experience researching wild bird populations across the United States, Dr. Zinkl is an avid birder and naturalist. He is currently working with The Center for Social and Environmental Stewardship in Windsor to promote the protection and conservation of our resident and migrant bird populations.
Participants should arrive at the the main parking area at 9am. This 2-hour walk will cover several miles. Pre-registration is appreciated. Participants should wear sturdy shoes and bring drinking water and binoculars.
