PUBLIC MEETINGS ON STATUS OF VETERANS MEMORIAL HALLS |
Sonoma County Regional Parks, in collaboration with the County General Services Department, presented the Veterans Building Assessment Report to the Board of Supervisors on October 2, 2007. The report looks at the financial cost of operating and maintaining the seven Veterans Memorial Buildings and the Occidental Community Center over a 5-year period. It also includes a 'Needs Assessment' for structural and mechanical upgrades to all the facilities.
The Board of Supervisors directed Regional Parks and General Services to begin discussions with the Veterans organizations and other community stakeholders regarding the condition and needs of the Veterans Buildings and Community Center. The County would like to share information on the buildings and hear from the community.
