BOY SCOUTS BECOME STEWARDS AT SONOMA VALLEY REGIONAL PARK |
Scouts from Glen Ellen Boy Scout Troop #63 recently took on stewardship of Sonoma Valley Regional Park, where they will perform a variety of park improvement service projects.
Under the leadership of Scoutmaster Tim McGee, Scouts will meet quarterly in the park to learn about and perform park maintenance duties. Working with Regional Parks’ Volunteer Coordinator John Ryan, the Troop will perform trail improvements and marking, fence repair, brush clearing and litter removal. In addition, the Scouts will work with Sonoma County Regional Parks on service hours required for school, and to design and implement Eagle Scout projects.
For more information about Boy Scout Troop #63, call Tim McGee at 935-6250. To find out more about volunteering with Sonoma County’s Regional Parks, contact John at 565-2041 or email parksvolunteer@sonoma-county.org.
