The campground at Gualala Point Regional Park, located at 42401 Highway 1 in Sea Ranch, will be closed June 9-12 and June 16-17, 2008. This temporary closure will allow for park improvements, including re-paving of the campground.

Campground closure dates are on weekdays only, and the campground will be open the weekend of Friday – Sunday, June 13-15. Camping reservations may be made online at www.sonoma-county.org/camping or by calling (707) 565-2267 weekdays 10am-3pm.

Gualala Point Regional Park offers camping in the redwoods by the Gualala River, with 18 RV/Tent sites and 6 Hike/Bike-in sites. The campground has flush toilets and hot showers, as well as a dump station. There are no electric or water hook-ups available. The 195-acre park also features a Visitor Center, picnic tables and BBQ’s, extensive trail system, coastal views and sandy beaches. The adjacent Gualala River offers seasonal fishing and boating.
