COUNTY PARKS RE-OPENING AFTER FLOODS |

Sonoma County Regional Parks has recently re-opened several parks that were closed last week due to flood damage:
- Spring Lake Park in Santa Rosa is open, with all parking areas accessible. The bike trail around the lake is open except for a section near the Santa Rosa Creek, where large volumes of mud and debris are still being cleared. Restroom facilities at the swim lagoon are still closed, but all other restrooms are open. Dirt trails at the park have not been cleared, and are considered hazardous. Park officials advise against using the boat launch, as the water in the lake is extremely muddy, hiding submerged objects. The campground at Spring Lake is open Friday through Sunday during the winter season.
- Steelhead Regional Park in Forestville is now open for vehicles. Other Russian River access parks are open, although park access is severely limited due to high water. All river access boat launches are closed.
- Caution is advised when visiting Crane Creek Regional Park in Rohnert Park and Helen Putnam Park in Petaluma due to trail damage.
- Cloverdale River Park and Hood Mountain Regional Park remain closed due to severe trail/road damage.
