HELP CLEAN-UP SPRING LAKE PARK - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED SATURDAY, JAN. 28 |

With the help of volunteers, Sonoma County Regional Parks staff will remove trash and other debris left behind in Spring Lake Regional Park after the recent flooding.
The Santa Rosa creek is diverted into Spring Lake during heavy rains. As a result, litter and debris are left in the park when the water recedes. Volunteers will assist park staff by moving items to a central disposal location in the park.
The necessary tools, garbage bags and gloves will be provided by the Parks Department. Volunteers will be served hot chocolate, coffee and other snacks. Participants should wear sturdy shoes, long pants and sleeves, a hat and sunscreen. Expect to have a good time and get dirty.
Date: Saturday, January 28, 2006
Time: 9am – noon
Meet: In the parking lot next to the Spring Lake Snack Bar
