REGIONAL PARKS FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES GRANTS |
The Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation, a non-profit fund-raising partner of the Sonoma County Regional Parks Department, recently funded over $11,000 in various County park projects and needs, including:
- Resurfacing of the handicap access trail at Birdwalk Regional Park in Bodega Bay
- Tools for park volunteers at a number of Regional Parks
- Improvements to the walking path at Doran Park
- Picnic tables and food lockers for the Azalea Creek campground at Hood Mountain
- Annual Park Celebration and Park Pass Promotion materials
- Air coolers for the Sebastopol & Petaluma Veterans halls
- A new cover and bench for the grand piano at the Santa Rosa Veterans hall
- Folding chairs for the Cloverdale Veterans hall
The Foundation, established in 1997 by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, raises funds, fosters partnerships, and advocates in support of specific projects and activities that benefit our County parks. The Foundation is funded primarily through support by individuals, groups and businesses. You can help provide parks, programs and projects that benefit the people of Sonoma County as well as all park visitors.
