BIRD BOX WORKSHOP MARCH 20 |
Local naturalist Wade Belew will host a bird nesting box workshop on Sunday, March 20th from 1pm – 3pm at the Environmental Discovery Center of Sonoma County at Spring Lake Park.
Wade is an avid birder, and has installed bird-nesting boxes in Spring Lake Park, the Laguna de Santa Rosa and on many private properties throughout Sonoma County. Participants will spend the first hour learning about the different aspects of successful bird box design. They will then have the opportunity to construct their own bird box. Reservations are mandatory for this workshop and a fee will be charged to cover the cost of materials.
The Environmental Discovery Center is located just inside the Violetti Road entrance to Spring Lake Park in Santa Rosa. There is a $4 parking fee. To register for the workshop, call John Ryan at (707) 565-2041. Learn more about Sonoma County Regional Parks on the web at www.sonoma-county.org/parks.
