Sonoma County has the ideal weather for people and wine grapes. The same landscape that makes Sonoma County so beautiful and popular with tourists - the Pacific Ocean and the coastal hills and valleys - create microclimates that can range with wide swings in temperature and rainfall throughout the County on the same day.

Visitors are advised to dress for a variety of weather and climate changes. It could be hot in the afternoon, cooling down considerably by early evening, making a jacket a must. It is highly recommended that visitors bring layers of clothing.
