Park Planning Division
Our Park Planning Division is responsible for
acquisition, design and development of parks and trails. This division consists
of a Park Planning Manager, Department Analyst, Senior Office Assistant, Park Planners, Environmental Specialist and Planning Technicians. |
Park Operations Division
The Park
Operations Division operates 43 parks and trails,
the Environmental Discovery Center of Sonoma County, the
Sports Fishing Center, and coordinates volunteer activities. Job classes include
a Park Manager, Administrative Aides, Lifeguards, Park Rangers, Park
Aides, and Park & Grounds Maintenance Workers.
Park & Grounds
Maintenance Division
Consisting of a Park & Grounds Maintenance Manager,
and Park & Grounds Maintenance Supervisors and Workers, the Parks and Grounds
Division is responsible for maintaining regional parks acreage and trails, as
well as landscape maintenance for the more developed county grounds. The Parks
& Grounds Maintenance Divisions also operates the Spud
Point Marina, which includes a Marina Supervisor, Marina Attendants and an
Account Clerk II.
Recreation & Cultural Services Division
This
division operates and maintains eight public buildings,
including the Occidental Community Center and Veterans Memorial Buildings throughout
Sonoma County. These buildings offer venues for large events including concerts,
dances, trade shows and exhibits, conferences, seminars, lectures, receptions,
private parties and fundraisers. Car shows, flea markets and swap meets are also
held in the parking lots. Job classes in this division include a Public Facilities
Manager, Event Booking Coordinator, Clerical Support, Event Services Supervisor,
Building Event Workers, Event Aides and a Marketing Coordinator.
Administrative Division
The Administrative Division provides administrative,
clerical and accounting support to the entire department. The division includes
an Accounting Unit, Camping Reservations and clerical support. Job classes in
this division include: Administrative Services Officer II, Department Analyst,
Accountant III, Payroll Clerk, Secretary, Account Clerks, and Office Assistants II & III.
