Public hearing October 3, 2013 at 1:05 p.m.
The Sonoma County Planning Commission will conduct an additional public hearing to consider a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors for the proposed General Plan Open Space Map Scenic Landscape Unit and Scenic Resource Zoning changes in the Sonoma Valley and the Highway 116 Scenic Corridor between Sebastopol and Highway One, and proposed Scenic Design (SD) combining zone removals in the Sonoma Valley.

Quick Links Navigation Feature added to County Websites
Did you notice the orange navigation bar at the top of this page? This is our new Quick Links navigation bar. It's now available on most County websites, and contains direct links to populate Sonoma County sites and services.
This type of “umbrella” navigation marks the beginning of a long-range conversion of County websites to designs built with the Web Content Management System. This conversion was approved by the Board of Supervisors and aligns with the County Strategic Goal of “Civic Services and Engagement” to encourage citizen participation and increase access to public services.

Meeting the Challenge: Sonoma County's Comprehensive Energy Project
When the County adopted its Climate Protection Action Plan in 2006, staff was directed to develop a Comprehensive Energy Project to meet three objectives: 1) reduce greenhouse gas emissions, 2) save the county money, and 3) replace worn out and energy inefficient equipment. An exhaustive inventory of county facility energy usage resulted in 101 energy efficiency measures being recommended. Out of those, county staff selected 38 at 24 county buildings that presented the greatest energy savings and financial return. Read more

Sonoma County Indictor Report 2013 – Abridged
