If you earned less than $50,000 last year you could qualify for an Earned Income Tax Credit from the IRS-even if you don't owe taxes. Families with kids could get back over $5,000.

Volunteer IRS-Certified Tax preparers will help low to moderate income Sonoma County residents file their taxes-for free.

Free e-filing is available, so families could receive their refunds in as little as 6-10 days. Appointments are free, and will be located in several Sonoma County communities between now and April 15th.
