Outstanding Volunteers 2007

Every December each department, division or program that uses volunteers is asked to select an outstanding volunteer or intern for the year. They are honored publicly in the Council Chambers by the Board of Supervisors. Outstanding Volunteers made one or more of the following important contributions:

• an extraordinary number of hours in the past year
• a long-term commitment to the department
• an effort of exceptional quality
• participation an a project with wide-ranging impact
• or any worthwhile task the department considers invaluable

Volunteer Recognition Reception
All volunteers and interns for the County of Sonoma are honored and feted in the beautifully decorated Veteran's Building in Santa Rosa each April at the Volunteer Recognition Reception. Businesses and members of the community donate wonderful food and beverages, great gifts, and fabulous prizes in appreciation of the contributions they made!
