Human Resources Employee Relations Division
The Human Resources Department's Employee Relations Division provides
major services to County departments and management including:
- Negotiates contracts with unions/organizations representing employees.
- Interprets employment contract language.
- Processes/resolves formal employee grievances.
- Support for department-level methods to resolve employee conflict.
- Conducts data research, salary and benefits surveys.
- Liaison with unions on employee relations issues.
- Supports an informal County Mediation Program.
- Facilitates labor/management committees and other interest-based
processes.
- Makes decisions regarding employee representation and unit determination
issues.
