Employee Relations and Labor Contract Negotiations - Human Resources Department

The Human Resources Department's Employee Relations Division provides major services to County departments and management including:

Negotiates contracts with unions/organizations representing employees.
Interprets employment contract language.
Processes/resolves formal employee grievances.
Support for department-level methods to resolve employee conflict.
Conducts data research, salary and benefits surveys.
Liaison with unions on employee relations issues.
Supports an informal County Mediation Program.
Facilitates labor/management committees and other interest-based processes.
Makes decisions regarding employee representation and unit determination issues.
