How are specimens delivered to the laboratory for testing?

Ticks for analysis for the agent of lyme disease can be brought to the laboratory or sent via courier (please include lab requisition and payment). Water specimens for bacteriologic analysis can be brought to the laboratory during normal business hours. These tests do not require an order from a physician.

Specimens for other tests can be brought to the laboratory or sent via courier, but require a written order from a clinician. To make arrangements for ongoing testing, please call the Public Regional Health Laboratory at (707) 565-4711.
