Social Marketing
What is Social Marketing?Social Marketing is a communications strategy that addresses
social and behavioral issues. Prevention social marketing is used to influence
a particular audience to adopt a behavior that may improve health, prevent
injuries, protect the environment, or make some positive contribution
to the community. What's NewCurrent events: The current social marketing campaign focuses on HIV-positive gay and bisexual men. The goals of the campaign are to connect HIV-positive men with prevention and treatment services so that they can maintain optimal health, and to provide them with relevant health information that can help motivate them to change sexual behaviors in order to reduce the transmission of HIV and/or STDs. Strategic Design Team: The Social Marketing Strategic Design Team (SDT) is comprised of community partners and members of the campaign target audience, and serves an advisory capacity for the program. The SDT meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10:00 am-12:00pm. For more information about the SDT and to find out meeting locations, contact Anthony Taylor at 565-6635.
