Emergency Preparedness Planning
Prepare your family for your absence during a health emergency by being prepared for disasters in general: create and maintain your own family disaster plan and disaster supply kit. Prepare yourself to serve by creating your own personal go-kit, packed in advance so that if a health emergency strikes, you can just pick up the kit and GO!

Reporting for Duty
The maps in this section will help you to prepare for an emergency deployment to a variety of field assignment sites in your geographic area, such as veterans buildings, high schools, hospitals and fire stations. First, determine the geographic fire zone where you live and then identify the possible sites. Next, map direct and alternate routes to the sites where you live. Additionally, the MRC field guide, and material on the START emergency triage system is provided.
