Over the years the Latino Health Forum has been an important medical conference in Sonoma County, continually addressing timely issues that affect the specific health care and acculturation needs of our Latino community.

Join us to explore the impact of cultural differences on patient-provider communication and health outcomes. We will feature keynote speakers and breakout sessions that present innovative health care models and provide participants with tools and resources to improve communication, health literacy and patient satisfaction.

Keynote Speakers

America Bracho, MPH, CDE
America Bracho is founder of the Latino Health Access, an award winning non-profit organization that uses participatory approaches to community health education. She understands the need for health care professionals to recognize the strengths of the Latino culture.

Bonnie Bade, PhD
Dr. Bonnie Bade is a Medical Anthropologist who examines the interface between clinical health care and farmworker families, including patient/provider interaction and barriers that impact health service access and utilization.

Conference Objectives

Continuing education units (CEUs) are available for physicians, nurses, MFTs and LCSWs.
