illustration of holding handsWe are excited and pleased to present the 15th Annual Latino Health Forum! Over the years the Latino Health Forum has been an important medical conference in Sonoma County, continually addressing timely issues that affect the specific health care and acculturation needs of our Latino community. Past topics have focused on the health care needs of Latina women, Latino youth, immigration, and gender issues.

This year our theme is Local Strategies to Promote the Health of Our Latino Community. We will be focusing on local access to health care, building Promotores de Salud programs, and examining gang prevention strategies.

It is the forum's goal to improve the health of the Latino population in Sonoma County, through education of healthcare providers about the health, social, and cultural challenges faced by immigrants. In addition, we strive to make this forum affordable and open to all health care providers. Scholarship support is provided. We hope you will join in our commitment to creating and supporting a healthy, diverse, and vibrant Latino community.
