Public Health Notice: Ordering Thimerosal-Free Influenza Vaccine for the 2007-2008 Season

Attached is a letter from the California Department of Health Services, Immunization Branch, with details for placing your influenza vaccine order for the 2007-2008 flu season. The letter outlines specific influenza vaccine formulations which meet the requirements of the Mercury Free Act of 2004 for thimerosal-free (mercury-free) vaccine for children under the age of three and pregnant women.

Many influenza manufacturers and distributors begin pre-booking influenza vaccine in January for the following flu season. Please take a few moments to review this letter and make plans for your 2007-2008 flu shot clinics.
