Five-Year Needs Assessment for 2005-2009
Print This!
The MCAH Five-Year Needs Assessment for 2005-2009 examines many different aspects and indicators of health, from health insurance status to prenatal care adequacy to death rates and injuries for women, infants, children and youth in Sonoma County. It provides as much as possible, comparisons with national Health People 2010 Objectives and State health indicators. Not all indicators are strictly health related, but also include socio-economic factors that my influence the health status of populations.
This document highlights our successes toward improving health indicators, as well as the challenges we continue to face. The needs assessment information is the first step towards developing interventions and strategies that will make improvements in the health of the MCAH population in specific areas.
The needs assessment report and each of the health indicator summaries are available for individual download as a pdf file. The print version of the entire report, including the health indicator summaries and the appendix, is also available for download.
