HIV Services: Clinical Trials and Protocol Access

Clinical drug trials allow access to promising new treatments.

Ongoing clinical trails are being sponsored at The Center for HIV Prevention and Care. Clinical drug trials allow access to promising new treatments under the close supervision of HIV specialists before they are widely available. These trials are available to anyone in Sonoma County who meets the study-specific eligibility criteria.

If you are interested in any trials, please ask your doctor for a referral to The Center for HIV Prevention and Care; an appointment for a study screening can be made by the clinic nurse. You do not need to be a patient at The Center to participate in these clinical drug trials.

The Center staff is available to discuss with you the criteria for any trials. We can see patients regardless of their health coverage. All study lab visits will be done at the HIV Clinic, although follow up with your doctor is also required.

These are protocol consultation visits only and primary care issues will not be addressed unless specifically requested by the referring physician or patient at the time of arrangement of the appointment.
