Coalition for a Tobacco-free Sonoma County

Mission Statement

The mission of the Coalition for a Smoke-free Sonoma County is to promote a smoke-free Sonoma County in a culturally appropriate manner.

Overview

The coalition is made up of Sonoma County organizations involved in community health education against tobacco use. Members assist in the development and implementation of community tobacco control efforts; develop and demonstrate widespread public support for issues, actions, and unmet needs; maximize the power of individuals and single groups and agencies through joint action for the purpose of creating a "critical mass;" mobilize the talents and resources of multiple individuals, groups, and agencies to promote tobacco education and control strategies; and provide a united voice to respond to the tobacco industry.

Meetings

The coalition meets quarterly on the first Wednesday of the month at 12:00 p.m. at 490 Mendocino Ave., Suite 202, in Santa Rosa.
