HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Diseases Prevention

The program coordinates planning and evaluation for HIV prevention activities and administers HIV prevention funds through a network of community-based agencies.

It provides staff support to the Commission on AIDS (COA), an advisory body composed of individuals from affected communities, community-based organizations, private and public health care providers. The COA gathers input from constituencies throughout the community in the development and design of HIV prevention strategies.

The program coordinates planning, development and evaluation for the local HIV prevention programs.
