County of Sonoma - Fleet
The County of Sonoma has over 800 vehicles in our fleet. This includes police cars and heavy duty construction vehicles. It is estimated that the fleet accounts for a little over 7,000 tons of GHG (Green House Gas) emissions.
Greening the Fleet
Fleet operations have been very progressive in evaluating and implementing clean fuel projects. We already have over 150 hybrid sedans, and 7 hybrid compact SUVs.
The Future of Fleet
We have ordered 100 new plug in hybrids for our fleet, and as we retire our cars, we will replace them with alternative fuel vehicles.
